FIA document ↗
One row per driver; each chip is one tyre set — coloured half is the compound and set number, grey half is laps run on it. Hover a chip for the session-by-session breakdown. Sets are reconstructed from stint tyre age (the source has no set ID), so a set re-fitted later is matched by its accumulated laps. Source OpenF1 (2023+).
Outlined chips were never fitted — the per-compound allocation is fixed by the FIA sporting regulations (standard weekend 2 hard / 3 medium / 8 soft, sprint weekend 2 / 4 / 6), so subtracting what was run leaves exactly which sets went unused.
A chip marked ↩ is one we estimate was handed back at a mandatory return — it was not fitted again afterwards. The FIA does not publish the actual returns, so treat it as a guess.
A lap count shown as ~N is an estimate: the source reported more sets of that compound than the regulations allow (it repeats age 0 when a set is re-fitted), so those sets were merged to fit the allocation. The number of sets is right; how the laps split between them is not certain.
